Quick search

As of today we will begin progressively rolling out a new search solution across all major workspaces, referred to as Quick search, which

Provides near immediate inline search results for any given workspace
Provides deeper insight and visibility into search results, including which fields and values searches match on
Provides a fast and clean hand off to the traditional workspace search, which is applied as a temporary filter
Provides the ability to expand your search to look at other entities without leaving the current workspace

The rollout of Quick search will occur over a period of weeks, so you may not see it enabled on your account right away. If you'd like access as soon as possible, please have an account administrator contact support.

Please note: Quick search will become the standard search solution in the future, replacing legacy search. Until this time, individual users will have the ability to temporarily opt out of Quick search via a simple action in the search panel.

Improvements

The rollout of the new document templating solution that we began late 2022 is now complete, and with it the legacy solution has been removed. Please note
- This change does not require any action
- Anyone who was using legacy custom document templates for PDF exports has been contacted, with replacements provided
- Any unused legacy custom document templates for PDF exports will no longer be selectable in the UI when sharing or exporting a PDF
- Workspace and system exports are now generated using the same document template engine as all other PDF exports
Exporting a PDF via the share and export function now provides visual feedback whilst the export is being generated
The standard job document template now displays activity completed and rejected status indicators
The job importer now supports populating the actual completed, and actual on site date fields

Bug fixes

An issue that occasionally prevented contractor portal users and technicians from being assigned to jobs has been resolved
An issue that prevented basic technicians and contractor portal users from seeing their assigned jobs in the jobs workspace has been resolved
An issue that occasionally prevented quote duplication has been resolved
An issue that caused number custom fields with the value of 0 to display "No default value" or "None" has been resolved
An issue that prevented the population of basic task quantities through the asset inspector has been resolved
An issue that caused the asset create > location list to display empty results has been resolved
An issue that caused the workspace search in the customer portal to throw an error has been resolved
Several issues impacting the use of the asset navigation view have been resolved
Several issues affecting bulk action completion on accounts with visits enabled have been resolved
Several broken links in the Loc8 launch panel have been fixed
