In this article you will find:

New Features

  • Upload and display avatars (photos) for everyone in your workforce. Users and technicians can upload their own, or alternatively they can be added by an Admin

  • Sites can now be manually associated to regions that do not have a geo-boundary

Feature Improvements

  • When interacting with assignees on jobs, it is now possible to hover the mouse cursor over their avatars to see the full list of assignees

  • Editing of sub-tasks is appropriately restricted according to the standing workforce license permissions

  • Adding an asset flag is appropriately restricted according to the standing workforce license permissions

  • All asset drawings/geo-features are displayed on the map

Usability Improvements

  • More filters and fields now auto-focus when first opened

  • All inspector tab urls can be copied and bookmarked, shared etc.

  • All inspector tabs and many other links can now be opened in a new browser tab by right clicking on the link and clicking Open in a new tab

  • Email validation has been relaxed across the whole app, which allows for the creation of workforce users, technicians and contractors with emails that contain modern domain names and special characters

  • Some great improvements have been made under the hood to improve the overall speed of the app. Loc8 should generally feel snappier and more responsive

Minor Improvements and Noteworthy Items

  • Date fields now display more consistently throughout entity history

  • All maintenance schedule events are now displayed in the Schedule Location view

  • The Supervisor field displayed on the job web view has been removed (this was redundant with the same assignee shown directly below)

  • A small number of users who were being unexpectedly logged out of the mobile app should no longer be affected

  • A small number of users who were experiencing random unauthorised and service unavailable errors should no longer be affected

  • A small number of users who were unable to login via login.loc8.com should no longer be affected

  • A small number of users who were experiencing Invalid Model errors when editing tasks should no longer be affected

  • All job search results are now shown irrespective of whether the status column is present

Bug Fixes

  • Follow-on jobs are no longer auto-assigned to people who were previously unassigned from the initiating job

  • The task move action is no longer disabled after scrolling the task list in certain browsers

  • Modifying company settings is no longer restricted by the defined business hours

  • The inspector job list is no longer restricted or empty in certain browsers

  • Errors are no longer displayed when certain columns with multiple spaces were displayed in workspace list views

  • Errors are no longer displayed when updating asset status or commissioned date fields through automation rules

  • Errors are no longer displayed when exporting certain PDF documents

  • Errors are no longer displayed when moving assets via the importer
